Annual Conference - come to Hamilton in the spring!
Our Conference Committee is hard at work planning events for the 31st Annual WEAO Technical Symposium and Ontario Pollution Control Equipment Association Exhibition to be held at the Hamilton Convention Centre, April 21-23, 2002. We are very excited with our campaign to launch the new and improved WEAO web site, with on-line registration for the conference expected to be available after January 1, 2002.
The New Professionals Committee has prepared a very exciting session for the Monday morning to introduce new members to our industry, and a special reception for the Sunday before the Icebreaker Reception to start things off with a bang!
Once again our Technical Symposium will include quality papers presenting timely information from our industry's professionals on topics related to utility and watershed management, wastewater collection and treatment, biosolids management, information systems and more!
You certainly don't want to miss the Showdown in Steeltown with the professional wastewater operators finest engaged in fierce competition, flexing their muscle and matching wit for the ultimate goal - the win! We encourage all Professional Wastewater Operations members to join in the competition and to contact the Operations Challenge Committee for more information.
We are planning to shake it up a little at the Tuesday Banquet with our hilariously interactive dinner theatre performers putting on a spectacle that is simply to die for! This is truly a dining experience that you won't want to miss. Stay tuned for more as this story unfolds.
Watch for next month's E-mail bulletin for updates on conference planning activities. Hamilton is a wonderful place to be in April and I hope to see you all at the conference.
