Special Symposium on the Environmental Dimension of Antibiotic Resistance, Ottawa Canada, June 2013
The Canadian Society of Microbiologists is hosting a “Satellite Symposium” on antibiotic resistance accompanying its annual general conference in Ottawa this coming June. You are kindly invited to take part in what will be a very exciting meeting. The public health issue is great importance, the science will be exciting, the city beautiful, and the weather terrific [hopefully].

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: 11th Annual Awards for Exemplary Biosolids Management
The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) is soliciting nominations for the 11th Annual Awards for Exemplary Biosolids Management to recognize biosolids practitioners that go beyond the normal requirements and "raise the bar" in the practice of managing biosolids. The objective of the awards program is to promote excellence in biosolids management in Ontario on the basis of contributions in one or more areas including operating projects, technology development activities, research activities and public acceptance activities. A nomination package must be submitted to the WEAO for an organization to be eligible for an award.
